Specialised driving lessons
Driving is a life skill that provides freedom and independence, and with vehicle modifications can be open to people with all sorts of physical and cognitive differences.
Our teaching vehicle now has several mobility adaptations enabling us to help more clients get behind the wheel. You may be learning to drive for the first time, or returning to driving after illness or injury. If you are living with disability and would like to discuss driving lessons, please get in touch.
Mobility Adaptations
We have installed some of the most common mobility modifications to our teaching vehicle.
These include:
- Floor mounted left foot accelerator
- Combined hand operated brake/accelerator with keypad (right side)
- Corded satellite accelerator
- Standard and keypad spinners
- Indicator crossover
Bespoke Training
Every driver has unique learning styles and requirements, especially when disability is involved. This may involve additional time, resources and costs, so we will work with you and other relevant stakeholders (e.g. OT, NDIS plan manager) to build a bespoke training plan.
